Retreat!

I am leaving at 11:00 for a staff retreat at a bed and breakfast. Nice. It is freezing, and I can cuddle up and relax and read and play games all weekend. It'll be fun.

Then next weekend we have out MT retreat, which I am even more excited about. I don't think we'll have gun time this year, but it is always a treat!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

The Dump

So last night the dirt flew (literally) as we cleaned out the garage. Dan, Amy, Allison, Susanne, Rita, Jenny, Tim, Adam, and I all loaded up THREE truck-loads full of left-over furniture, trash and boxes. (Trust us—each truck was FULL, thanks to Amy.)

We have reclaimed our garage!!!! Yippeeeee!

This morning Amy and Dan took the THREE trucks to the dump. They said the dump was very cool. Apparently, loading the trucks were more work than unloading, since all they had to do was just push it all on the ground.

Although the dumping-process was good and we have our garage back, it cost us $30 to dump all of the stuff, and 90% of it wasn't ours.

Although we LOVE helping people and offering our house for them to use, we can't get into this situation again. The garage has been un-useable since May, and it stressed us out—not to mention the time to clean it, and the cost of getting rid of everything.

So, this changes some stuff going into the summer. Although we love you guys, if you want to store stuff at our house this summer, we may need a deposit (so if you leave it, we don't have to pay to have it hauled off). And if you’d like to help us defer the cost of this dumping, you know where we live!

A lot of nothin

Okay, so I somehow slept in today. Not cool. I woke up at 6:00 and knew I had about 45 minutes left. Next thing I know, it is 7:45 and I need to leave for work. I got ready fast, and got here 10 minutes late. Ironically, I was dreaming about getting ready when I woke up. My brain telling my body to get up I guess.

In other news, I got my hair cut last night and some highlights. I love the cut, the highlights are a little too light and a little too close to the face, but I will live. I was itching to color it, so I shouldn't complain!

We went to Jeff and Laura Blair's house last night and watched The Bachelorette premiere. It was so much fun. Not only watching the show and picking the ones we wanted to stay, Laura and Jeff have a new puppy! She is the cutest thing I have ever seen! You can see more pictures of her and her "aunts" Madison and Morgan by clicking Bailey's link. Of course this makes me want a puppy even worse. *Sigh*

That is about it. We're doing spring cleaning at the house all week, so put on some old clothes and stop by if you're in town! Goodbye to all those couches that were left at our house. If you want to store at our house this summer, you must sign a form that you'll TAKE it all back when school starts. No more dumping stuff in the garage to leave forever!

KATE--we miss you and love you. I went to get Chinese with Rita yesterday, and I kept my fortune to send to you. I think it will make you laugh. We all know how you love the fortune cookies game! : ) This is it: "You have an unusual equipment for success, use it property." I'll let you finish the rest of it Kate.
