FORK!

Since everyone seems to be stealing each other's blog stuff (ie Jenny, Clifton, etc.), I thought I would join the ban wagon! My beautiful friend Emily has this fun quiz on her website that tells you what random object you are and who you are compatible with....
fork
I am a fork: "You are special, unique... and shiny.... but you just don't know it. Many admire you for your outward appearance, but you haven't truly expressed all of the great stuff inside of you. You have the potential to do great things and help others, and this will help you in the future. When you hold a grudge at someone, however, this can be dangerous. Despite your calmness that most people perceive about you, you keep a lot of feelings bottled up inside that one day can make you explode and stab something. Instead of resorting to that, you can say, "Go Fork Yourself!"

I am compatible with a knife or a sock, so
take the quiz to find out what random object you are and let me know!

And if any of you know older, knives or socks that are single, send them my way! ; ) After reading the profile, I think I prefer a sock.

A few of my favorite things..

I am going through a blog dry-spell. It is not that I am bored with it or want to stop, I am simply too stinkin' busy at work to fit it in during the day. Spring semester is here--and my work load doubles. Expect me to be pretty stressed for the next few months.

This past weekend we had a MT retreat. It was wonderful. I love the Walker-Athletic MT. We always have so much fun, and I love how the team changes after a retreat--we go from a team to a family.

I had many favorite parts......one of which is Josiah. He was there and in full sanguine form. He is the cutest baby in the world. Even at 7:30 in the morning, when he wakes up, it is "Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi" until someone gets him. He is great.

Another high-light was the girl-guy honoring/encoouragement time. Each year they guys honor the girls, and we have started a tradition with the boys as well. The guys cooked us dinner and served us this year. AND we got a poem with a signed mat. It was wonderful.

The girls hosted a guy-orientated game called "Man Camp". We don't really know if they like it or not, but they all get into it for us if they don't. The sound of them yelling and getting "up" for it encourages the girls more than they know. We love those guys!

I started a quote book. It is where I record all of the random things people say that, when taken out of context, are extremely funny. Here are a few of my favorites from the weekend. (They will be out of context!)

"I wish I could get the runs." Matt Jaques to Amy Van Dyck
"Stop pulling out my feathers!" Rita Stevens to Virginia Jarrell
"I don't woo by another man's methods. I woo my own way." Tim Hearon to a group.
"Where are your buns, sir?" Adam Westerman to David Cottle
"This dam bridge is huge!" Dan Hay to Amy Van Dyck and me. (editor's note, dam is spelled correctly and is in context of driving over a dam)

I miss Kate Moore, Sarah Gleason, and Emily Bryant!
