Spring in the Garden

Ah, it is spring indeed.

In honor of all those boys (and the girls waiting expectantly), dealing with spring banquet woes, I thought I would offer this humor. Men and women.....it is a great mystery that has been around a long, long time. : )

Circle of Life

This weekend Crumpy and I went to the wedding of an old college friend, Kevin. I knew five people there--Crumpy, Josh McClain, Kevin (the groom), and Mr. and Mrs. (old) John Crawford.

It was a very different wedding; starting with the fact the groom was about 7 years younger than the bride. That's like me marrying a sophomore or junior in college. (Anyone, anyone?) It didn't help that Kevin is "baby-faced" already...so it was a very non-traditional match. But they looked very happy and cute together.

There were several things about the ceremony I really liked. They had a lot of scripture reading, a congregational worship song, and during the lighting of the unity candle the wedding party and parents gathered around them and prayed. Very glorifying.

Just as this new family began, my current "family" was ending. Sus moved out into her new home this weekend. It is so sad. This year has been one of the best living situations I have ever had. We all have fun together, we work together well, and conflict has been positive. I'm going to miss seeing these women each day. "The Compound" is breaking up. *tear*

Now we are trying to decide when we will be moving. It's getting too depressing to be there now with things gone or boxed up. How many guys out there are willing to help us? Maybe the weekend of the 30th? Let me know!
